This is a short, plain-English privacy notice. We don't sell your data, we don't embed third-party trackers, and we delete material you send for review within 30 days of returning it.
What we collect
When you contact us, send an SOP/CV for review, or fill out the contact form, you share information with us — typically your name, email address, WhatsApp number, target university/program details, and the contents of any draft documents you choose to send. The shortlist tool runs entirely in your browser; the profile data you enter (CGPA, IELTS, fields of interest, city preferences) is not transmitted to any server unless you explicitly request a human review. We do not collect data automatically beyond what your browser sends to any website (IP, user agent, basic analytics where enabled).
How we use it
Information is used solely to deliver the service you requested — replying to questions, scheduling a guidance call. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Aggregated, anonymised statistics (e.g. how many students complete the cost calculator) may be used to improve the site.
Retention
Contact-form messages and WhatsApp conversations are kept for as long as is reasonably required to provide ongoing support — typically the duration of your application cycle plus 12 months. SOP and CV drafts submitted for review are deleted within 30 days of returning the review. You can request earlier deletion of any data we hold about you at any time.
Third-party services
The site uses a small number of third-party services to function: hosting (Vercel), the contact form provider, and WhatsApp Business for messaging. Each of these services has its own privacy policy and applies its own data handling rules. We do not embed advertising trackers, social-media pixels, or cross-site analytics beyond what is necessary to operate the site.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses a small amount of local storage in your browser to remember your theme preference (light or dark mode). This data never leaves your device. We do not use third-party cookies for tracking or advertising. The shortlist tool may store your last-entered profile in browser storage so you do not have to re-enter it on return — this is optional and stays on your device.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, request that we correct any inaccuracies, or request that we delete your data entirely. Under the Indian DPDP Act (2023) you have a right of access, correction, and erasure. Under the EU GDPR, where applicable, you have the same rights plus the right to data portability and the right to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, message us on WhatsApp or via the contact form — we will respond within 30 days.
Use by minors
This site is intended for prospective university students, who are typically 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete the relevant records.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to how we handle data, this page will be updated and the 'Last reviewed' date at the top of the page will reflect the change. Continuing to use the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
